The Umpqua RiverHawk Department of Athletics participated in the 2^nd Champions Read day at Green Elementary School. Champions Read is a part of the RiverHawks Champions in the Community service platform where student athletes visit 1^st grade classrooms throughout the year and read to the students, while providing them with copies of the book that was read.

Green Elementary School and Winchester Elementary School are the two schools participating in this years’ Champions Read program. The RiverHawks will visit between 8-10 times throughout the year and provide over 600 books to the 1^st grade students.
