The Umpqua RiverHawk baseball program is excited to announce the signing of two new players for the 2019-20 season.
Tyler Covalt comes to the RiverHawks from McNary High School in Keizer, Oregon. Covalt is a right-handed catcher who also plays 1st and 3rd base. He was named Honorable Mention All-Conference as a sophomore and 1st Team All-Conference as a junior. He was also selected as the Defensive Player of the Year.
In addition to signing Covalt, the RiverHawks added Blake Walden, a right-handed 3rd baseman/shortstop from Kapowsin High School in Graham, Washington.
