Men Go 2-1 in NWAC Crossover Tournament

The Umpqua men's basketball had a successful weekend in Tacoma, as they went 2-1, in the NWAC Crossover Tournament.

The weekend began with a 100-88 win over the host Tacoma. Ethan Betts led the way with 28 points followed by Eric Klekas with 24. Conner Shaw, Coleman Johnson, Cody Gray and Conner Shaw also finished in double figures with 18, 13 and 13 points.

The second contest of the weekend saw the RiverHawks run to a 12 point halftime lead and hold on to defeat Peninsula College 90-74. Coleman Johnson led the RiverHawks with 19 points followed by Ethan Betts with 18 and Cody Gray with 17 points. Gray pulled down a team-high 11 rebounds to finish with a double/double.

In game 3# Big Bend College proved to be too much for the RiverHawks as the surrendered a 38-37 halftime lead, and lost 86-79. Eric Klekas led the way with 23 points. With the loss, the RiverHawks fell to 6-4 on the year.
