The Men's Basketball team of Umpqua Community College used a strong start to cruise home with a 95-80 victory over the visiting Storm of Chemeketa Community College.
The RiverHawks jumped out early and led at the half, 51-37, behind the strong inside play of Coleman Johnson. The second half was more of the same, with the RiverHawks leading by as many as 31 points with 8:14 left on the clock.
The RiverHawks were led in scoring by Coleman Johnson with 28 points and 7 rebounds and was followed by Eric Klekas with 21. Ethan Betts, Connor Shaw and Marcus Draney al finished in double figures with 12, 11, and 10 points apiece.
With the win the men move to 13-6 overall and 4-2 in conference play.
