Title: Associate Head Coach

Brock joins the UCC Men's Basketball Coaching staff after a very successful intercollegiate career which included stops at Junior College, NCAA Division 1 and 2. 

A native of Syracuse, Utah, Brock was top 5 in 6A basketball in Utah in points, points per game, rebounding, and assists. 

Coach Gilbert spent 2 years at UCC from 2018-20.  His Sophomore campaign was one for the Umpqua history books where he averaged 10.9 assists per game which led not only the NWAC but the nation, and 9.8 points per contest all the while shooting 50.5% Fg's, and 41.2% from 3's. During his time at UCC, the team had a Win/Loss record of 45-14 in large part to Brock's individual success and unselfishness.

He went on to receive a full-ride scholarship to NCAA Division 1 school Dixie State which later was renamed Utah Tech. Highlights included 9 assists vs. powerhouse Gonzaga and 8 assists vs. Utah Valley. In his 2 seasons at Utah Tech, he recorded totals of 129 assists and was at one stage top 3 in the WAC in Assists per game.

For his senior year, he transferred to NCAA II Central Washington where he averaged over 7 assists per game and had a total of 190 assists for the season. He ended 2nd in NCAA II basketball for Assists per game.
