South Umpqua's Sinohui Joins the RiverHawks

Umpqua Community College Cross Country and Track and Field is announcing the signing of South Umpqua High School senior Nakai Sinohui.

Sinohui, a multi-sport athlete for the Lancers, won the Myrtle Point invitational, and set a personal record of 17:11.7 in the 5000 meters, while placing 2nd at the 4A-3 Far West League Championship.

Head Cross Country and Track and Field Coach Alan King had this to say about the signing of Sinohui,"Nakai is a tough runner with the ability to get faster. We are excited about adding a local runner who will come in and compete from the beginning."

Sinohui was an OSAA State Wrestling Championship qualifier in 2018 and plans on wrestling at UCC, as well.
