Umpqua Community College Head Softball Coach, Jami Strinz has appointed Sam Moyers to serve as an Assistant Coach on her staff.

RiverHawks Softball will open play for the first time in school history during the 2024-25 academic year, joining the Northwest Athletic Conference in the highly competitive South Division.

Moyers, a native of Glide, OR will bring his talents to develping the RiverHawk outfield, while supporting growth in the areas of offense and pitching. He possesses a passion for the sport and has the ability to connect with each athlete he works with to get the best out of them. His knowedge and experience will be a great asset to the UCC Softball program. 

Sam currently resides on Rock Creek, OR with his wife Kristin and their youngest daughter, Samantha.  Sam and Kristen also have two adult children, Mikayla and Cordell.
