RiverHawk Women Hold on Versus Portland Community College

The Umpqua RiverHawk women's basketball team rode the strong shooting of Jordan Stotler and the dominating inside play of Dajanay Powell to an 88-77 victory over the Panthers of Portland Community College. Stotler connected on a career high seven 3-pt shots on eleven attempts, for a team high 31 points. Powell scored 28 points as she punished the Panthers in the paint. Both Stotler and Powell ended the night with 13 rebounds each, as the RiverHawks owned the glass by a 44-33 margin.

Jacque Luaders was the only other RiverHawk in double figure scoring with 12 points. Luaders also chipped in 7 assists, while Tasia Bilbrew led Umpqua in that category with 10.

With the win the RiverHawks move to 20-2 on the year and 9-0 in Southern Region play. The play host to Linn-Benton Community College this Wednesday, Feb. 8th. Tip-off is at 5:30 pm.
