RiverHawks Down Storm

The RiverHawk women's basketball team of Umpqua Community College, capped off a perfect Southern Region slate with an 84-45 victory over the Storm of Chemeketa Community College. Umpqua got off to a slow start on the defensive end and went into the locker room with a 39-28 lead. The second two periods saw the RiverHawks only give up 17 points to the Storm, while scoring 45.

The RiverHawks were led by Dajanay Powell with 31 points and 12 rebounds, followed with Bria Thames with 23 points and 16 boards. Jordan Stotler had her second triple-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds and 11 blocked shots. Tasia Bilbrew finished her sophomore southern region play with 11 points.

The RiverHawks finished a perfect 16-0 in Southern Region play and 27-2 overall. They head to the NWAC Tournament as a #1 seed.
