With an 85-80 victory over North Idaho College, Dave Stricklin reached 800 victories in his career.
Stricklin is 541-154 with the RiverHawks. His other 259 victories came at Golden West College in Huntington Beach, California.
Stricklin reached 800 victories faster than all but two coaches in women's basketball history, Geno Auriemma of the University of Connecticut and the late Pat Summit of the University of Tennessee.
The 59-year-old Stricklin guided Umpqua to Northwest Athletic Conference tournament championships in 1997 and 2000.
