Women Go Undefeated in Crossover Tournament

The Umpqua women's basketball team rolled over three different NWAC opponents as they went undefeated in Southern Region Crossover Tournament.

The RiverHawks opened then weekend with a 95-64 victory over Wenatchee Valley College. Taylor Stricklin led the way with 25 points, followed by Jordan Stotler and Bria Thames who scored 20 each.

The second game saw them overcome a slow-down tactic from Skagit Valley College, to prevail 65-35. Stricklin led the way again, going for 24 points, followed by Jordan Stotler, who posted a double/double with 16 points and 11 rebounds and Alyssa Grenfell, who finished with11 points and 7 assists.

The last game was a 69-40, run-away victory over South Puget Sound College. Merrily Jones led all scorers with 17 points, followed by Bria Thames and Jordan Stotler with 14 and Kalli Frieze with 11 points. Stotler and Thames accounted for 11 and 13 rebounds each.

With the wins, the RiverHawks improve to 10-0 on the season.
