The Umpqua Community College Women's basketball team grabbed an overtime victory in the first game of the North Idaho Crossover Tournament, 83-72 over the host North Idaho Cardinals.
A back and forth contest was sent into overtime on a Taylor Stricklin lay-up in the closing seconds of regulation play. The RiverHawks dominated the overtime period, as they out-scored North Idaho 17-6 in the final five minutes.
Stricklin led the RiverHawks with 33 points, followed by Darian Mitchell with 24 points and 14 rebounds. Cielo Gonzalez was the only other RiverHawk in double figure scoring with 13 points.
