RiverHawks Sweep Portland and Lane, Claim Conference Title

The Umpqua Women's Basketball team finished their season with two wins and a share of the Southern Region Championship.

In their final home game, the RiverHawks defeated the Panthers of Portland Community College by the score of 94-53.

Taylor Stricklin led the team in scoring with 37 points, a season high, while breaking the single season record for most 3-pt shots made with 119 makes on the year.

Darian Mitchell followed with 16 points, while Sienna Riggle and Cielo Gonzalez scored 13 each.

 

In the final regular season game, the RiverHawks traveled to Lane Community College to battle for a share of the Southern Region Championship. After mounting a furious comeback, the RiverHawks grabbed the victory with 7 seconds left, to win 73-72.

Mitchell led all scorers with 22 points and 16 rebounds. Stricklin chip on 20, and Gonzalez 18.
