RiverHawk Track Adds Coquille Duo

Head Umpqua Community College Track and Field Coach Alan King is announcing the signing of two athletes from Coquille High School. Heather Marshall and McKenna Wilson will be joining the RiverHawks for the 2018-19 track season. Marshall is the 3A MVC District Runner-Up on the shot put with a throw of 40'4", the 2nd longest throw in the State of Oregon at the 3A level. She will move forward and compete this weekend at the OSAA 3A State Championship.

Wilson, who will compete for the RiverHawks in volleyball as well, will compete in the OSAA 3A State Championship in the 200 meters and the High Jump. She was the 3A MVC District Champion in the 200 meters and the Runner-Up in the High Jump. She has personal records of 27.39 in the 200m and 5'0" in the high jump.

Coach King had this to say about the addition of these two athletes, "Heather and McKenna will add depth and versatility to our first year program. They are ready to compete at a high level and we are looking forward to their contributions to our team."
