Karsyn is from Roseburg High School, where she received 2^nd team All-League honors as a junior and Honorable Mention All-League as a senior.  She also participated on the track and field team. 

Ramsey is also a member of the Webfoot Juniors Volleyball Club, who had national success in 2012, 2013 and 2016.
