Sophomore RiverHawk Emma Lind (South Umpqua HS) was named the Southern Region Defensive Player of the Week for her work in matches against Pierce, Centralia and Lower Columbia Colleges.
Over the weekend, Lind had 24 digs and a serve/receive efficiency of 2.30. It is the first such honor for Lind.
The RiverHawks return to play this Friday as they open with Olympic College at the Lower Columbia Crossover Tournament.
