The RiverHawk volleyball team started the season off with a bang, as they swept the Centralia Blazers 3-0, with scores of 25-14, 25-18 and 25-11.
Kaitlen Hass led the team with six kills, followed by Johanna Pope with five. Shayla Limatoc and McKenna Wilson lead the team with twelve and eleven digs.
The RiverHawks continued play on Saturday and Sunday, playing six best-of-three, matches at the NWAC Volleyball Showcase. The RiverHawks starting off by downing Green River 2-0, Yakima Valley 2-0, and Whatcom 2-1. They dropped their final match of the first day 0-2 to Treasure Valley to end the day 3-1.
Sunday saw the RiverHawks run by South Puget Sound 2-0, before closing the tournament with a 1-2 loss to Olympic College, finishing the showcase with a 4-2 record.
The RiverHawks continue pre-season play as they travel to Multnomah University on Friday, August 30th.
