Coach Jules Asa enters her first year as an Assistant Coach for Umpqua Community College after competing for 2 seasons with the RiverHawks. 

Asa, a graduate of Thurston High School in Springfield, OR, helped the RiverHawks immensely in her time here. She was a 2022 Top 50 athlete in the NWAC for Assists and Assists/Set and earned NWAC Academic Honors. In addition to her conference accolades, she also was on the President's List every term at UCC. She broke into the Top 10 on the RiverHawk Volleyball Record Books in season assists & career assists, career assists/set, and season & career double doubles. Her sophomore year she helped lead her team to their winningest season in 10 years under Coach CJ Roberts, who she now has come on to assist in continuing to build a program of success.

Asa has participated in multiple sports including soccer, basketball, and softball throughout her life. As she entered high school, she focused in on enhancing her volleyball skills. In high school, Asa was a 2 year letter winner and a 4 year honor student who was part of the Academic Honor Society. She also helped lead her team to a 6A State 6th place finish in 2019.

Coach Asa is currently working on earning her Associates in Marketing with hopes to pursue a career in Sports Marketing. In the off season, Coach Jules coaches for Rise Volleyball Club and enjoys concerts, hanging out with her family and friends, and playing volleyball.
