Three Sport Athlete to Join RiverHawk Wrestling

Elisabeth Vasquez wrestled two years for the North High Stars out of Bakersfield, California. During those two years she was a 2 time SEYL league Champion. She was a Kern County Champion and a runner up. During her senior year she placed 2nd in the Central section Championship and qualified for State. At state she ended up going 1-2 and being the first girl to ever win a state championship match for North High. Elisabeth was also a very active member in the Star Wrestling Academy where she won the Lakeside National tournament in 2017. 

Elisabeth was a three sport athlete for North High where she played Varsity football and Track and Field. She has been a part of 4 different league championship teams while at North. In Elisabeth spare time she helps coach the youth wrestling program at North High. She also tutors students in the Moderate Sever special education program. 

RiverHawk Head Wrestling Coach Asia DeWeese had this to say about the signing of Vasquez,"Elisabeth is a very skilled, strong, experienced wrestler. We are looking forward to the toughness she will bring to our wrestling room."
