Craig Jackson joined the Umpqua Community College Athletic Department in August of 2016. Jackson has spent the past 26 years in collegiate athletics as an administrator and women’s basketball coach. He most recently served as the Director of Athletics at Kishwaukee College in Malta, Illinois. Prior to that he served as the Director of Athletics and Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Montreat College in Montreat, North Carolina. Jackson also spent eight years as the Head and Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California.
Jackson serves in a dual capacity at UCC as he is the Department Chair for Health and Human Performance and Outdoor Recreation. He has his Bachelor’s degree from Willamette University, where he was a student athlete, and a Master’s degree from Northern Illinois University.
Jackson grew up in Shedd, Oregon and his wife, Brooke Carrigan-Jackson (former collegiate basketball coach and professional basketball player) is a native of Medford, Oregon. They currently live in Roseburg, Oregon, with their two young sons.
