The Umpqua RiverHawk Track and Field team opened up their first season in over 25 years by participating in the Linfield Icebreaker.

Parker Wynn turned in one of the best performances of the day for the RiverHawks, finishing 4^th in the 400m with a time of 53.51. Wynn also ran 23.86 in the 200m.

On the women's side, freshman Paulina Finn finished 2^nd in the high jump with a jump of 1.49m.

The Following weekend, the RiverHawks were back in action at the Saints Open at Mt. Hood Community College. The RiverHawk men finished in 7^th place, the women claimed 5^th.

Top performances for the women included Paulina Finn taking 2^nd in the high jump, Heather Marshall claiming 4^th in the discus and 5^th in the shot put and Elaina Dowdy claiming 3^rd in the women's pole vault.

On the men's side, Derek O'Connor claimed 3^rd in the 800m and 4^th in the 1500m, while Carver Beck took 5^th in the pole vault.
