RiverHawks Crown an NWAC Champion

The Umpqua Community College Men's and Women's Track teams competed at the NWAC Championship and came away with multiple placers and one NWAC Champion.

Freshman Grace Campbell was named as the Women's Field MVP as she placed 2nd in the long jump and was the NWAC Champion in the triple jump.

Also on the women's side, freshman Darian Mitchell placed 4th in the shot put and 5th in the javelin. Freshman Paulina Finn finished 3rd in the high jump, freshman Elaina Dowdy finished 6th in the pole vault and the 4 x 100m  relay team of Finn, Dowdy, Christin Ivy and McKenna Wilson finished 8th.

As a team, the 1st year program placed 8th out of 11 teams.

For the men, Jason Bergold was 4th in the pole vault followed by Carver Beck at 5th. Beck also placed 7th in the decathlon and was on the 4 x 400m relay team of Parker Wynn, Derek O'Connor, and Tristin Wood that finished 8th. O'Connor also finished 8th in the 800m.

The men finished 10th overall.
