RiverHawks Continue Impressive Season

In their second meet of the year at Southwestern Oregon Community College, the RiverHawks came away with event winners in 22 of the 28 contested competitions. "It was a nice day for the team," said Coach King. "We had several athletes utilizing today as a training session and we came away with some good things."

Picking up multiple wins on the day was Carson Burris with wins in the Shot Put, Discus, and Hammer. In his favorite event, Carson hit a new personal best of 13.76m (45ft 1 3/4in) for the shot and a new personal best of 41.00m (131ft 3in) in the discus. Both are school records. Christopher Penn (100m/200m), Jaylen Allen (Triple Jump/Long Jump), Samantha Eichman (800m/1500m), Shakiya Candelaria (Long Jump/100m), and Kaylee Hendron (Discus/Shot Put) were also multiple event champions.  School records were also set in the men's steeplechase (Konrad Raum), the men's 5k (Dexter Patching), the women's 1500m run (Samantha Eichman), and the women's hammer throw (India Dishman).
