Men's Wrestling Goes 2-1 at NW Duals

The UCC Men's Wrestling team competed at the NW Duals on Saturday, December 21st, and went 2-1 as a team, beating out Pacific and Corban, but falling to Southern Oregon.

The Hawks beat out Pacific 34-6. Tanner Ulrey (125) won by forfeit, Kobe Olsen (141) won by fall at 2:45, Titus Mejia (149) won by forfeit, Garrett Russell (157) won by decision 15-6, Logan Folsom (174) won by forfeit, and both Hunter Hillard (197) and Adam Lamb (285) won by forfeit.

Against Corban, the Hawks closely won 25-21. Tanner Ulrey (125 won by forfeit), Kobe Olson (141) won by decision 9-5, Titus Mejia (149) won by fall at 2:06), Garrett Russell (157) won by decision 10-4, Logan Folsom (174) won by decision 12-3, and Adam Lamb won by decision 9-6.

In the third dual, the Hawks lost to Southern Oregon 31-15. Kobe Olsen (141) won by decision 12-10, Titus Mejia (149) won by fall at 3:45, and Jayden de Fond won by fall at 4:42.

Both Kobe Olson (141) and Titus Mejia (149) were able to undefeated 3-0 on the day.

The RiverHawks have concluded competition for the rest of 2019 and will be back on the mats at the Menlo College Open in Atherton, CA on Saturday, January 4th.
