The Umpqua Women's Wrestling team travelled to Allen, Texas, to the National Collegiate Wrestling Association (NCWA) Championship and brought home all sorts of hardware back to Roseburg with them.
The RiverHawks finished 2nd in the team race, led by National Championship performances from Grace Miller (143) and Jade Piper (170). Miller and Piper each pinned their way to the title, winning the 2nd and 3rd National Championships in RiverHawk Wrestling history.
The RiverHawks crowned 6 All-Americans at the tournament as Mariah Annis finished as the Runner-Up and 123lbs, Esthela Trevino (101) and Tatum Pine (123) took 3rd and Lilliann Restrepo (155) finished 4th, to join Miller and Piper as All-Americans.
Annis, Trevino and Sienna Lejeune were also named as Academic All-Americans for the RiverHawks.
In their 3rd year of existence, the RiverHawks had 10 All-American finishes, 2 National Championships and finished as the top ranked junior college in the country at both the WCWA National Championship and the NCWA National Championship.
