  • Cross Country Caps Off Their Season at NWAC Championships

    The Umpqua Community College Cross Country teams capped off their season at the NWAC Championships on Monday, November 8. Both teams had tremendous improvements from a year ago. The women finished 5th with the men finishing in the 6th position. Last season the women finished 7th and the men finished 9th. Winning the men’s competition was Spokane with 19 points with Lane winning the women’s division with 22 points.  
  • Hawks Battle Hard at Southern Regions

    The Umpqua Community College Cross Country teams competed in the Southern Region Championships hosted by Clackamas Community College. It was the first time that the RiverHawks competed in a meet consisting only of community colleges. Schools represented in the Southern Region include Chemeketa (women only), Clackmas, Clark, Lane, Mt. Hood, Southwestern Oregon, Treasure Valley, Umpqua. The UCC men took to the starting line of the 8k at 11:00am, followed by the women for the 5k at 12:00pm.

    The Umpqua Community College Cross Country teams competed in the Warner Pacific XC Classic at Lents Park in Portland, OR.
  • UCC Cross Country Races at Charles Bowles Invitational

    The Umpqua Community College Cross Country teams competed in the Charles Bowles Invitational hosted by Willamette University in Salem, OR.
  • RiverHawk Cross Country Competes in NWAC Preview
    September 28, 2019
    The Umpqua Community College Cross Country teams competed in the Ken Garland Classic hosted by Saint Martin’s University in Lacey, WA. The meet also served as the NWAC conference preview meet. The UCC ladies took to the starting line of the 5k at 9:30am, followed by the men contesting the 8k at 10:20am.
  • RiverHawk Cross Country Runs Well at Time Trial

    Umpqua Community College competed in a time trial on Saturday, and showed great signs of improvement over last year. The time trial was a combined gender race with included runners from the UCC cross country teams, UCC obstacle race team, the community, and runners from Southwestern Oregon Community College.
