The Umpqua RiverHawk Volleyball Team tipped-off the 2018 season by going 4-2 at the NWAC Volleyball Showcase. The RiverHawks started the showcase with wins over Everrett, Blue Mountain and Green River Commnity Colleges, then lost to Treasure Valley and Tacoma Community Colleges, before closing the showcase with a win over Big Bend CC.

For her efforts on the defnsive side of the ball, Sophomore Kyrie Keffer (Henley HS) was named Southern Region Defensive Player of the Week. Keffer had 49 digs on the weekend with a serve/receive efficiency of 2.43.
