Former UCC Players at the Collegiate and Professional Ranks Update

Former RiverHawks are excelling on and off the court at their new homes.  Currently, 8 UCC graduates are playing at 4-year institutions.

Cameron Benzel – Western Oregon University (Oregon)

Aaron Dolny – Lawrence Tech (Michigan)

Jake Estep – Whittier College (California)

Jake Sampson – Westminster University (Utah)

Dante' Sofia – Webber International (Florida)

Kell Schwers – Bushnell University (Oregon)

Luka Suster – Carolina University (North Carolina)

Christo Ugodo – Sheridan University (Canada)

Cameron Benzel continues his stellar career averaging 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 Blocks per contest thus far.  Benzel was voted as a pre-season favorite to be all-conference yet again.  Aaron Dolny is also having an excellent start to his time in Michigan.  He currently averages 11 points while shooting 38% from 3's. Additionally, Jake Estep is averaging double digits in California.

A notable exclusion from this list is former RiverHawk great and NWAC MVP Nathan Webb who while at BYU at the start of last season suffered a severe concussion in practice that has forced him into an early retirement.

Other Former UCC players are continuing their professional careers including Kolten Mortensen (Germany), Ethan Betts (Australia), and Hyrum Harris (Australia & New Zealand) to mention a few.  Hyrum Harris played most recently in the FIBA World Cup for New Zealand and plays for the Perth Wildcats in the NBL.

Jordan Madrid-Andrews is contemplating retirement after a lengthy career in Turkey, Mexico, Hungary, Indonesia, and Azerbaijan.
