The RiverHawk wrestling program keeps signing champions as they announce the signing of two-time OSAA 4A State Champion, Josh Hammers, from Mazama High School in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

Hammers became the only Mazama athlete to win two individual State Championships in any sport, and the first to win back-to-back titles. Hammers finished his senior season with a 43-2 overall record. The signing of Hammers ups the number of State Championships to four, amongst the new RiverHawk signees.

UCC Head Men’s Wrestling Coach Kyle Temple has this to say about the signing of Hammers, “Josh won the 182 pound state title his last two seasons at Mazama and is a big physical kid that will thrive in college wrestling. He has the ability to wrestle anywhere from 174 to 197 pounds in college. He will be a valuable asset to our program and will bring a unique skill set to the inaugural RiverHawk team. I am looking forward to working with him and helping him achieve his goals in both wrestling and academics.”
