BIG THINGS AHEAD FOR RECRUITING CLASS

Things didn't end how the 22-5 (13-3) RiverHawks had planned last season.  As the team failed to get out of the first round of the NWAC playoffs losing to the eventually Runners-up Bellevue by 4 points.  But big things are ahead for the team as a large recruiting class arrives on the UCC campus in the Fall.  The team adds 12 new players to its roster that returns sophomore's Talon Valdes (16.9 pts p/g), Jake Sampson (14.8 pts p/g), and Aaron Dolny (5.7 pts p/g).

Coach Daniel Leeworthy, who enters his 10th season at UCC had this to say about the team, "I am really excited about our team and our prospects to win an NWAC Championship.  I love our recruiting class.  We added some of the best players from Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Australia, and Colorado.  Adding them to the guys we return we should be a great season for us."

The UCC Men's Basketball Season will tip off on Friday November 18th at 4pm vs. Pierce as part of their annual Umpqua Invitational Tournament.
