RiverHawks Open Season at Linfield College.

Ten school records, five NWAC auto-qualifiers, multiple personal bests, and two individual wins were set in the team's opening meet. 

Opening up the meet on Friday night was the 10,000m race, three RiverHawks competed in the event, with both Konrad Raum (34:24.05) and Paesen Timm (34:40.20) hitting the auto-qualifying standard for the NWAC Championships. Raum and Timm both broke the school record, with Raum now being the record-holder. Jaime Mejia-German was the third Hawk to compete in the race, and was shy by just 3 seconds of auto-qualifying time.

The rest of the team followed up on Saturday morning. Establishing a new school record, freshman Zach Holland threw a lifetime best of 65.60m/215'3" in the men's Javelin competition for the win. The other win for the team was freshman Kaylee Hendron in the women's Discus. Hendron's throw of 37.01m/121'10" also established a new school record. 

On the track, sophomore Derek O'Connor led the team with a 5th place finish, new personal best, and school record of 4:10.13 in the 1500m run. He then followed that up with an 8th place finish in the 800m run. For the women, freshman Noel Krissie placed 6th in the 100m and 8th in the 200m to lead the Hawks on the track.

The RiverHawks will be back in action this upcoming weekend, 3-14-2020, at the 30th Avenue Titan Twilight at Lane CC in Eugene, OR. Come out to support your Hawks!
