Espinoza & Trueblood Signed

Umpqua Community College Women's Wrestling add two high school standouts to the 2023-2024 roster. 

Anjolina Espinoza Mountain Home, Idaho (Mountain Home High School) is a wrestler through and through and has proven it on the mat already during her high school career. She has been the champion of tournaments such as the Tiger Grizz Invitational, Whisky Dobbs Invitational and North Idaho Rumble. Espinoza is a Western Regional Runner up and a 2x State Placer finishing 5th place as a Junior and 2nd place as a Senior.

Anjolique Trueblood - Chico, California (Pleasant Valley High School) is a 2x League Champion, 1x Masters Champion and a 2x California State Qualifier, placing 7th in 2022. She is also the Lady Viking and Chico Enterprise Record Female athlete of the year. 

Director of Wrestling Anthony Weerheim had this to say about the signing of these two, "Once again, we are extremly pleased with how the team is coming together for this upcoming 23/24 season. Signing Espinoza and Trueblood is a huge bonus for UCC Women's Wrestling. We look forward to seeing how they will both impact our program."
