Umpqua Community College Women's Wrestling is pleased to announce the signing of Tarleen and Tarnprete Saroya of Caledon, Ontario (Canada) for the 2023-2024 season. 

Tarnprete Saroya – (Mayfield Secondary School)
2022 Juvenile Provincials Champion – Juvenile Nationals 3rd place finish – Junior Nationals 5th place finish – 2023 Junior National 4th place finish and the 2023 OFSAA Champion.

Tarleen Saroya- (Mayfield Secondary School)
2022 Juvenile Provincials Champion – Juvenile Nationals 3rd place finish – Junior Nationals 3rd place finish – 2023 Junior Provincials 2nd place finish and the 2023 OFSAA Champion.

Director of Wrestling Anthony Weerheim says, "We are beyond excited to have both Saroya sisters commit to wrestle for the Hawks. They are extremely talented and motivated and will be a massive impact to our program.  With the few days I was able to work alongside Coach Matt Barrett at our wrestling camp, we recognized that both sisters are excited to learn new techniques that can push them to the next level. Being coachable athletes is important to us."
