Local Runner Joins RiverHawks

The Umpqua Women's Cross Country program is excited to announce the signing of Ashanti Potter, from South Umpqua High School, for the 2018-19 season. Potter has competed in cross country for three seasons and this will be her fourth season participating in track and field.

UCC Director of Athletics, Craig Jackson had this to say about the signing of Potter, "We are excited to add a local athlete to our program. She will add depth, talent and work ethic to our program and we are looking forward to her competing as a RiverHawk."

Potter is the second runner signed to next years' women's team, joining Laura Ekada of Alaska.
