Four RiverHawk runners set personal bests at the Charles Bowles Invitational, held on Sept 30th, at Willamette University. Isaiah Lepre (Fr., Sutherlin High School) finished the 8k distance in 33:33, a three minute improvement over his previous best. Teammate Wayne Jaworski (So. Roseburg High School) improved as well, running 30:54, for a 1:45 second improvement.
On the women's side, Bailey Payne (So. Camas Valley High School) ran 24:46 for the 5k race, a one minute improvement over her season best, while Jenna Anderson (So., Roseburg High School) clocked in at 20:09, a 40 second improvement. Anderson's finish placed her in 6th place against other runners from the NWAC.
Next up for both teams is the Wes Cook Invitational, their last meet in preparation for the NWAC Southern Region Championships that will be hosted by the RiverHawks of Umpqua Community College.
