The Umpqua RiverHawk Women's Basketball Team started out the season in style by beating the Knights of Shasta College by the score of 84-48. UCC jumped to an early lead and never looked back, as they led 41-24 at the half.
The RiverHawks were led by sophomore Taylor Stricklin with 24 points, including four 3-pt shots. Freshman Sienna Riggle had a double/double with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Grace Campbell was the other RiverHawk in double-figure scoring, finishing with 11 points.
