Three-Time State Champion Joins RiverHawks

Umpqua Community College Men's Wrestling Coach Kyle Temple is proud to announce the signing of Pleasant Hill product Titus Rice for the 2019/2020 season.

Titus capped off his senior campaign at Pleasant Hill by winning the OSAA Class 3A state title at 145 pounds. Titus wrestled for Creswell High School during his freshman through junior campaigns where he won the OSAA Class 3A state title at 138 pounds as a freshman and as a sophomore he won the OSAA Class 3A state title at 145 pounds. Titus finished 2nd at 145 pounds during his junior campaign.

"Titus is a small school kid that probably got overlooked by many coaches. I've witnessed first-hand how mentally and physically tough Titus is over his high school career. He recently finished 3rd at the OWA Freestyle state championships and won the OWA Greco State Championships. Titus knows how to battle and will make an impact in the NJCAA right away. He has won at every level and beat top ranked kids along the way. He brings that underdog mentality into his matches and always wrestles to show people he has something to prove. I feel very fortunate to sign a three time state champ, four time finalist to the RiverHawk wrestling family." said coach Temple.
