Umpqua Community College Men's Wrestling Coach Kyle Temple is excited to announce the signing of Sweet Home High School senior Robert Watkins to participate with the Men's Wrestling Program for the 2019-2020 Season.

Watkins is projected to compete for the RiverHawks at 125 pounds. He placed 4th in the OSAA Class 4A State Championships this past season at 126 pounds.

Previously Watkins placed 5th at 113 pounds and 3rd at 106 pounds in the class 4A State Championships as a junior and freshman respectively.

"Robert will help add depth to our lighter weights and he comes from a great program that understands hard work. Robert will be a great addition to the program and we are looking for big things from him in his next two years, said Coach Temple. He has been a consistent force in the state of Oregon at the lighter weights having just placed 4th at the OWA Freestyle state tournament and 3rd at the OWA Greco state tournament. I believe UCC will be a great fit for Robert and am excited for his future as a RiverHawk."
