Men's Wrestling Adds Two Local Grapplers

UCC Men's Wrestling head coach Kyle Temple has announced that Matt Carrillo of Sutherlin High School has committed to wrestling for the RiverHawks next season. Carrillo is a two-time OSAA State qualifier. Coach Temple had the following to say about Matt Carrillo; "Matt comes to us from right up the road at Sutherlin High School to continue his education and wrestling with the RiverHawks next season. Matt will bring added depth to our lightweights next season. His father is a wrestling coach and Matt has been involved with the sport his entire life. We look forward to adding Matt to our program and keeping local wrestlers in the Umpqua Valley."

 

UCC Men's Wrestling head coach Kyle Temple has announced that Caleb Brickey of Myrtle Point High School has committed to wrestling for the RiverHawks next season. Brickey was an OSAA State qualifier last season at 182 pounds. Coach Temple had the following to say about Caleb Brickey; "Caleb will help add depth to our upper middle weights next season. He has been working hard under Coach Travis Wittlake and will continue his athletics and education at UCC while studying business. Caleb has really started to mature and brings a strong worth ethic to the program. We are excited that Caleb has chosen UCC to continue his education and wrestling career."
