Director of Wrestling Anthony Weerheim announces the signing of three new RiverHawks for the 2023-2024 Wrestling season.
Ethan Petrone of Oregon City High School is a two sport athlete participating in Lacrosse and Wrestling. He is a 4 year starter in Lacrosse and a 3 year Letter winner for Wrestling. Along with racking up several wins in his wrestling career Petrone is a 2X State Qualifier.
Derek Warren - Merced, California (El Captain High School) is a 3 sport athlete excelling in Football, Wrestling and Baseball. Warren's accomplishments on the wrestling mat are: 2x CIF Masters qualifier, 2x SJS Divisional placer, 2x League placer and Runner up. Warren has a 3.2 GPA
Nicolas Garza - Beaverton, Oregon (Southridge High School) is a 3 sport athlete participating in Cross Country, Wrestling and Track. Garza's is a 3x District Finalist and a 1x Champion capping his senior year off with a 5th place finish at the Oregon High School State Championships.
Weerheim on the signing of these three, "Petrone, Warren and Garza will be joining a talented group of incoming freshman for the 2023-24 season. We are extremely happy with how the team is coming together at this point. These three are going to bring some more fire to RiverHawk Wrestling room. We cannot be more excited to continue to add this caliber of talent and depth to our team."
