Hawks Land Two More!

Umpqua Community College Women's Wrestling is pleased to announce the signing of two more incoming freshman to this upcoming 2023-2024 season's roster. 

Mia JoLee Worsham of Orlando, Florida (Dr. Phillips High School) - Selene Farris of Palmer, Alaska (Mat Su Career Tech High School)

Worsham has participated in Cross Country, Track & Field, Wrestling and Flag Football throughout her high school career in Florida. She is passionate about wrestling and is excited to grow as a person and an athlete at UCC.

Farris was a regional champion during her Freshman year, also earning (rookie of the year/outstanding wrestler award and punching her ticket to the state tournament as a Freshman. Farris finished 3rd place at the regional tournament as a Junior and 2nd as a Senior earing her 3rd trip to the State Championships in her four years of High School Wrestling. 

Director of Wrestling Anthony Weerheim has this to say about the signing of the two new additions to the RiverHawk Women's Wrestling Team, "We are excited about adding these two young ladies to our growing roster. We continue to add depth in needed weight classes and look forward to the 23-24 season.
