RiverHawks Run Through Champions Challenge

In the inaugural UCC Champions Challenge, the RiverHawks ran away from the field, turning in some blistering performances.

On the men's side, RiverHawk Cody Jones posted the fastest time of the day, with a 21:37.5 performance in the preliminary rounds. Also in the preliminaries, RiverHawks Boone Pearson and Joel Graham each top the 22 minute mark with times of 21:57 and 21:43.

On the women's side, Kyndall Wiley ran away from the pack, finishing in 26:33.9, followed by Alivea McAlpin at 28:42.1 and RiverHawk Adrionna Taylor, who finished in 28:54.5

The men's final included RiverHawks Cody Jones, Wayne Jaworski, Camron Wright, Jakob Bergmann, Robert Yard, and Ross Pinard, along with Mick Davis, Chris Staroska and Jeremiah Simmons

Jones led from the beginning, in the final heat, to claim the overall championship, finishing in 21:59.5

The RiverHawks are off until late May, when they participate in the Terrain Race, hosted in Eugene, Oregon, and will return on June 2nd to compete in their 2nd Champions Challenge.
