Men's Basketball Signs Idaho Forward

The Umpqua Community College Men’s Basketball program has announced the signing of Coleman Johnson of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Johnson, a 6’6” forward from Hillcrest High School has a 6’10” wingspan and is coming to UCC fresh off of a 2-year mission trip to Chile. Johnson was 2015 PR All-Area Boys Basketball Team Honorable Mention selection in 2015, his senior season, averaging 16 points per game.

Head RiverHawk Men’s Basketball Coach Daniel Leeworthy has this to say about the addition of Johnson” I am very excited about Coleman signing with UCC.  He is a very intelligent basketball player and person.  On the floor he is extremely long, athletic, and versatile.  He will be a very good player for us and exemplifies everything we love about our program’s core values.  He will be a great leader on and off the floor for our team.”

The RiverHawk Men’s Basketball Team is coming off of a 20-10 season and a first ever NWAC Final 4 appearance.
