Two-Time California State Placer to Join RiverHawk Women’s Wrestling

Aracely Rendon (Eureka, California) will be joining her sister, Yareli, on the 2020-21 RiverHawk Women's Wrestling team. Rendon placed 7th in the 2019 CIF State Championships and 6th in the 2020 CIF State Championships. She is a two-time North Coast Champion and was 1st at the West Coast Tournament of Champions.

Head Coach Craig Jackson had this to say about the addition of Rendon, "Aracely is a top-level competitor with outstanding experience. She is tough and skilled and makes us deep at her weight class. We are looking forward to her addition."

 

Rendon joins 14 other in-coming freshman for the RiverHawks.

 

The Umpqua Community College Women's team is in its 3rd year of existence and finished as the Top-Ranked Community College program in the country. The RiverHawks placed 2nd in the NWCA National Championships, and 8th in the WCWA National Championships. They had 10 All-American placers and 3 National Champions during the 2019-20 season
