Melissa Jacobs, a two-time Minnesota High School State Champion, has signed to wrestle for the Umpqua RiverHawks for the 2018-19 season. Jacobs, from Belle Plaine High School is also a three-time Minnesota USA Wrestling State Champion. In addition to wrestling, Jacobs is the Single Speed Mountain Bike State Champion.

RiverHawk Head Coach Asia DeWeese had this to say about the signing of Jacobs, "Melissa is a skilled and experienced wrestler. We are very fortunate to have her join our program. She will be a valuable addition to our wrestling room and our team as we work toward building a championship level program."
