Heie finished 6th out of 14 competitors in the women's pole vault with a two foot personal best of 3.00 meters (9ft 10in). Her jump also met the auto qualifier for the NWAC championships as she ranks sixth in the conference on the season.

"What makes her effort more impressive is that Taylor is new to the sport of pole vault," said head coach Alan King. "This is her first year ever competing in track and field and came to UCC as a walk-on just to try it out."
