Grant Ellison scored 31 points on 12 of 19 shooting, but it wasn't enough as the Penguins of Clark College beat the visiting RiverHawks by a score of 92-82. The RiverHawks trailed by 9 at the half and couldn't clamp down on defense to creep any closer in the second stanza. The Penguins had 7 more field goals than the RiverHawks and out-rebounded them by a 45-39 margin.
Jacob Danhoff was also in double figures for Umpqua with 16 points as was Timmy Thompson with 11 points. With the loss the RiverHawks move to 14-5 and 6-2 in the Southern Region.
