RiverHawks Drop Home Game to Storm

In a game to clinch the #1 seed in the NWAC tournament, the Umpqua men's basketball team narrowly lost to the visiting Storm of Chemeketa Community College by a score of 81-78. In a game that never saw a lead larger than 6 points for either team, the outcome came down to a final few possessions as the Storm hit some crucial free-throws to clinch the contest.

Timmy Thompson and Jouvon Edison led the RiverHawks with 16 points each, followed by Grant Ellison with 12, Daniel Reno with 11 and Jacob Danhoff with 10 points. Edison finished with a team-high 15 rebounds.

The RiverHawks finish the regular season with at least a share of the Southern Region Championship with a 10-6 record. They are 18-9 overall. They will travel to the NWAC Championships as either the #1 or #2 seed.
