Grant Ellison, Weber HS / Ogden, UT, has been named the Northwest Athletic Conference Player of the Week, for Week 9 of the NWAC award. 

Ellison has helped lift 8th-ranked Umpqua RiverHawks to a 5-1 start in region play and 13-4 overall.

This past weekend Ellison turned in a terrific performance with 31 points on 71% shooting from the field along with 6/6 from the free throw line, 5 assists and 4 rebounds.

Ellison is currently 5th overall in scoring with 22.47 ppg, 2nd in free throw percentage (89.3%) and 7th in 3-pt percentage (46.3%).

This is the first such honor for Ellison and the first for the RiverHawks this season.
