Umpqua Men Win at Lane

The RiverHawk men's basketball team built a large first-half lead and rode that run to a road victory, with an 85-75 win at Lane Community College. The RiverHawks led by as many as 24 points in the first period and went into the locker room with a 52-30 lead. The Titans would storm back and cut the lead to 7 with 3:08 remaining, but the Umpqua held on for the 10-point win.

The RiverHawks were led in scoring by Darrin Gethers with 20 points. Gethers also added 5 steals. Jouvon Eidosn chipped in 16 points and Jacob Danhoff scored 11. It was also a career night for Roseburg native Jake Stephens, who scored 15 points. Stevens hit four 3-pt shots in the first half to help the RiverHawks build their lead.

With the win the RiverHawks move to 9-3 in Southern Region play and 17-6 overall.
